Nevada Restaurant Association (NvRA)
established to serve the needs of Nevada’s restaurant industry
What’s in it for me (WIIFM)?
The NvRA saves you money. The association offers many cost saving benefits to improve your bottom line. For example, the NvRA has an exclusive healthcare benefits program that provides a qualified health care plan to businesses who wish to take advantage of Nevada’s lower minimum wage rates. Adopting this plan can save you 30¢ per hour on every employee working over 20 hours a week at NO COST to you. Also available is a dividend paying, no-risk worker's compensation program, hassle-free, low rate credit card processing, discounted music licensing and an easy-to-use e-mail marketing software program - just to name a few.
The NvRA fights for you. NvRA spends tens of thousands of dollars each year lobbying for pro-restaurant legislation. We are continuously reaching out to elected officials and actively engaging in issues that matter most to the restaurant industry. Just recently, the NvRA battled and won compromises on the proposed Southern Nevada Health District fee increases, as well as, helped to eliminate the tip pooling initiative, taxes on plastic bags and increases in the state liquor tax.
The NvRA educates you. NvRA offers training and services for TAM cards, food safety and management training, expedited health cards, as well as, a variety of industry training materials that can be easily customized to meet your company’s needs.
The NvRA keeps you “in-the-know.” Staff and volunteers work tirelessly to keep members educated on new regulations, industry alerts, proposed laws and restaurant trends. The NvRA services Nevada’s operators with integrity and is dedicated to providing the very best resources available.
The NvRA helps you showcase your business. Television advertising is a powerful tool; now restaurant members in Las Vegas can purchase airtime for 100% trade! Additionally, the NvRA also provides opportunities for promoting your business through local events including: The Las Vegas International Bar & Restaurant Show, PAC luncheons and cocktail receptions, Epicurean Affair and the Culinary Excellence Awards Gala. The NvRA has also established and fostered community connections which, through charitable involvement, can expose your operation to a diverse and expanded consumer base. Furthermore, Allied members are encouraged to participate in NvRA’s Vendor Values, which offers free advertising to allied members willing to offer discounts to NvRA members.
The NvRA social networks put you in touch. The association provides connections and communications between Nevada’s operators, so you never “operate alone.”
